Motorworks Restorations

Motorworks Restorations is a Colorado Springs shop that works exclusively on air-cooled Volkswagens. Its website describes custom engines, inspections, general repair and full restorations for these cars. The business is independent and has no connection to Classic Cars Arena. This profile reflects what the shop says about itself and what is publicly listed.

Who they are

The website names two people, Jeremy and Jerry, in its navigation, but gives no biographies or surnames, and it does not give a founding date, so none is stated here. The Better Business Bureau lists a business named Motorworks Restorations Inc at the same address in the car restoration category. We did not see its rating or accreditation status, so neither is reported.

What they restore

The shop says it works on air-cooled Volkswagens only. This is a clear, narrow specialty, and owners of other makes will need to look elsewhere. The site presents the shop as a place that understands the common problems of these cars and offers consultations to owners planning a project.

Work done in-house

• Full restorations
• Custom engines
• Inspections
• General maintenance and repair
• Parts and service requests

Projects and awards

The website has a gallery that groups current restorations, past projects and other custom work, but it does not caption them in detail. No awards are listed.

Working with the shop

The site says the shop usually can schedule a service within a week of the date requested, and that it is accepting appointments. Other sources have mentioned a long wait for full restorations, but that does not appear on the shop's own pages, so ask about current lead times for a restoration. The site offers contact by phone, email, an online service request form or Facebook. For a sense of what restoration work costs, see our guide on how restoration budgets add up.

Visiting and contact

The shop is at 2633 Durango Dr, Colorado Springs, CO 80910. The phone number is (719) 648-2280 and the email address is [email protected]. No hours are published on the website, and a directory note suggests visits are by appointment. We did not view a review page directly, so no rating is quoted.
