Carolina Classic Cars

Carolina Classic Cars is a classic and vintage vehicle dealer in Asheboro, North Carolina, in the Piedmont about 70 miles northeast of Charlotte. The showroom sits just off Highway 64, and the business is run alongside a hot rod shop. This profile summarizes what the company and public records say. It is not affiliated with Classic Cars Arena.

Who they are

The company's website and the Better Business Bureau both name Candace Bongiovanni as the owner. The BBB lists a business start date of January 1, 1990, though that is a self-reported date and the dealership's own site does not give a founding year. The business operates alongside The Hot Rod Shop, and the company also runs community events, including an annual toy drive that it says supports local families through the Randolph Family Crisis Center.

What they sell

Inventory focuses on American classic cars and trucks, with some motorcycles also appearing on its inventory page. Hot rods and customs are part of the mix, which fits the connected hot rod shop. Stock rotates, so check the current inventory instead of relying on a past listing. The dealer says it also accepts trade-ins and buys cars, so owners looking to move a classic can ask about an offer as well as consignment. The hot rod shop on the property is a sign that the business is comfortable with modified and customized cars as well as stock restorations, which matters if you are shopping for a driver rather than a show car.

How the business works

Carolina Classic Cars sells from its own inventory and also offers consignment. Its website lists financing, classic car insurance quotes, trade-ins and acquisitions, and detailing. If you are buying from a distance, ask for the title status, extra photos and a walk-around video, and consider an independent inspection. Also confirm which fees apply at purchase, such as documentation, title and tax, and whether any listed price assumes financing.

Selling through Carolina Classic Cars

The dealer says it takes vehicles on consignment, though we could not find published terms, fees or contract length. Ask for the commission, the length of the agreement and who pays for advertising and storage before handing over a car. Our overview of consigning a classic lists the questions worth asking.

Reputation

The BBB gives the business an A+ rating, though it is not a BBB Accredited Business. The BBB page shows one complaint closed in the last three years. We did not find a review count on any platform that we could verify, so we quote no star ratings. As with any dealer, judge it on the specific car and its paperwork.
