Classic Garage Auto West

Classic Garage, which also uses the name Auto West Classic Garage, is a dealership and service shop for classic BMWs in Richmond, British Columbia. It is part of the Auto West Group, which the site says also includes Auto West BMW, Auto West Pre-Owned and MINI Richmond. It is an independent business listing here for reference and is not affiliated with Classic Cars Arena.

Who they are

The company's history page says Classic Garage was launched in April 2022 and describes its work as buying, selling, servicing and rejuvenating classic BMWs. It names Joachim Neumann as founder and president. The site says the Auto West Group was established in 1986 and has more than 100 team members, and it cites "over 38 years" of group experience. Those are the company's own statements.

What it sells

The inventory is mostly BMWs, with some other makes. When we read the Listings Archive it showed 89 results tagged Featured, New Arrival, Pending Sale or Sold, and most were sold. Listing addresses point to vintage cars such as a 1969 BMW 2002ti, a 1973 BMW 2002, a 1973 3.0 CSL, a 1974 2002 Turbo and a 1975 3.3 Li, along with 1980s to 2000s performance models such as an Alpina B7 Turbo, M5s, M3s and a Z8. Newer enthusiast cars like a 2011 BMW 1M and a 2016 M4 GTS also appear, as do a few non-BMWs, including a 1966 Jaguar XKE, a 1970 Corvette, a 1981 Porsche 930 Turbo and a 1984 Ferrari Mondial. We did not read current prices, so check each listing for the asking figure and currency.

The site did not mention consignment, financing or shipping on the pages we read, so ask about each.

Buying here

Because many listings are sold or pending, call or email before you visit and ask which cars are current and what reconditioning has been done. Ask for service records, any inspection report and the title history, and consider an independent inspection on higher-value cars. Our guide to what to check before you buy covers the main points, and you can compare other cars through more classic cars in British Columbia.
