About The Barn Miami

The Barn Miami is a boutique dealer of collector, vintage and exotic cars on the west side of Miami, near Miami International Airport. Gaston Rossato incorporated the business in 2013 and began running it full time in 2014, and it has operated under the same name ever since. The company describes itself as a father-and-son business led by Gaston and his father Lucas, and today its inventory leans toward significant European sports cars, from 1950s Mercedes-Benz 300 SLs to Ferraris, Porsches and rare Alfa Romeos.

A family business with a barn-find name

Gaston Rossato has said in interviews that he grew up around his father's car dealership and worked there part-time as a teenager, and that the dealership closed in 2008 during the financial crisis. He finished college that year and worked as an insurance claims adjuster while selling cars on the side, before setting up The Barn Miami. The company's first website, from 2013, explained that the name comes from the "barn find," the long-forgotten car rediscovered in storage. It also noted that not all of its inventory fits that description.

The company's current site describes a three-generation business with more than 50 years of combined experience between father and son. It says the business focuses on quality over quantity, and on cars with provenance, originality and a story behind them. In 2022 it described itself as an online auto boutique, placed close to the airport and the port to serve national and international buyers.

What The Barn Miami sells

The stock is small and selective. In early October 2026 the site listed 22 vehicles, and many of the most valuable were marked "call for price." Highlights included a 1956 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing and a 1958 300 SL Roadster, a 1933 Alfa Romeo 8C Monza, a 1964 Alfa Romeo Giulia TZ, a 1955 Aston Martin DB2/4, a 1972 Ferrari 246 Dino and a 2014 Ferrari 458 Speciale Aperta. Alongside those were modern collectibles such as a 2000 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec, a 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII, a 1985 Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 and a 2007 Porsche 911 Turbo. One listing was not a car at all but a 1995 Extra 300/L aerobatic airplane.

Published prices on the cars that showed one ran from about $55,000 for a 1989 Mercedes-Benz 560 SL to about $300,000 for a Porsche 911T built as an RSR tribute. The sold archive covers a much wider spread, including American muscle cars, Land Rover Defenders, BMWs, Porsche 911s and McLarens, which suggests the mix changes considerably over time.

Selling, consignment and Bring a Trailer

The Barn Miami buys cars and also works with owners who want to sell. Its "Sell Your Car" page promises fair, market-driven offers and starts with an online form and photos, and the company's About page mentions consigning as part of its work with collectors. Terms are not published, so ask whether a given deal is an outright purchase or a consignment and what the commission would be. See our consignment guide for the other questions worth asking before you sign.

The company also describes itself as an official Bring a Trailer partner. For owners who want to sell at online auction, it offers photography, detailing up to paint correction, cosmetic reconditioning such as leather and dent repair, help preparing the listing and management of the auction itself. Its site keeps a separate tab for cars it is handling on Bring a Trailer.

Services for buyers and collectors

  • Financing and leasing. The company's finance page names J.J. Best Banc and Co. and Woodside Credit as lending partners and Midway Leasing for lease deals.
  • Transport. Enclosed shipping is arranged through Lusso Transport, which the company describes as an affiliated business that operates independently.
  • Storage. Climate-controlled storage is offered for short or long periods.
  • Repairs and sourcing. Mechanical work is coordinated through outside specialists rather than an in-house shop, and a vehicle finder form handles requests for specific cars.

At this price level, an independent pre-purchase inspection by a marque specialist and a careful review of the car's documentation are worth the cost, especially for cars sold on provenance.

Reputation and media

The Barn Miami has traded under the same name since 2013 and has been at its current address since at least 2018. We did not find a Better Business Bureau profile for the business. Its own news page collects press coverage, including a Univision segment featuring a 1952 Jaguar XK120 and a 1955 Aston Martin DB2/4, and stories about a McLaren MP4-12C linked to NBA player Dwyane Wade that the dealer offered for sale. In 2022 its showroom hosted an art exhibition during Miami Art Week. CarBuzz profiled the business in 2015, when its stock ran from British roadsters and American muscle cars to Italian exotics. As always, judge the specific car on its paperwork and an independent inspection.
