About Triple F Automotive

Triple F Automotive is a combined classic car dealership and restoration shop in north Fort Worth, Texas, about 13 miles from downtown in the Alliance area. The company says it has been restoring classic cars and fabricating custom vehicles since 2006, and today it runs sales, a full restoration operation, a classic parts department and a trim restoration division from one 45,000 square foot building on Golden Triangle Boulevard.

A restoration shop that also sells cars

Triple F Automotive LLC dates to 2006; the Better Business Bureau file lists a start date of October 2006, matching the company's own account. Unlike a dealer that only buys and resells, Triple F describes itself as a "full service" sales, parts, service and restoration facility, and the restoration side shapes much of what ends up in the showroom. The company says its staff have a combined 70 years of experience. Its Facebook page sums up the sales side simply: it buys and sells classic cars, trucks, muscle cars and exotics.

In 2018 Triple F announced the acquisition of Concourse Trim, a Fort Worth company that restores stainless, aluminum and chrome trim. It now runs as Triple F's Concourse Trim Division from the same address, with a particular focus on Tri-Five Chevrolet trim.

What Triple F sells

The showroom inventory is smaller and more curated than at some Texas dealers. On the day we checked, the site listed 22 vehicles, and the focus was clearly Chevrolet and GM muscle. Examples included a 1959 El Camino at $134,995, a 1972 Chevelle, a 1966 Chevelle, two 1969 Camaros, a 1969 Nova, a pair of 1967 Pontiac GTOs and Corvettes from 1958, 1967, 2016 and 2025. Trucks and Fords were also represented, including a 1970 Chevrolet C10, a 1936 Ford pickup, a 1957 Chevrolet Sedan Delivery, a 1968 Ford Bronco at $159,950 and two Thunderbirds.

Most asking prices sat between about $45,000 and $110,000, with a 1998 Camaro under $20,000 at the low end and a late model Bentley Continental GTC in the mix. The sold archive runs to 15 pages and shows a wider range over the years, from prewar cars and Packards to Austin-Healeys, Jaguars and the occasional Ferrari.

Restoration and parts

The shop side is the core of the business. The company's service page lists:

  • Body and paint: chemical paint stripping, a sandblasting booth, metal replacement and fabrication, and two 50 foot downdraft paint booths with bake capability.
  • Fiberglass: repairs for Corvettes, Cobras and kit cars, plus a fiberglass shop and tooling for custom work.
  • Interiors: custom upholstery in cloth, leather or more exotic materials.
  • Mechanical: modern powertrain upgrades, with job postings mentioning LS and Coyote swaps, as well as work on original drivetrains and A/C installation.

The parts department stocks reproduction parts for 1950s to 1970s cars, along with used and reconditioned pieces, and sells through an eBay store. Triple F says it is an authorized dealer for suppliers including Dynacorn, Golden Star, Soff-Seal, American Autowire and Vintage Air.

Buying from Triple F Automotive

Financing is offered through J.J. Best Banc & Co., with which the company says it has a long standing relationship; terms run up to eight years and buyers can apply in the showroom, online or by phone. A car finder form lets buyers ask Triple F to look for a specific vehicle. The site does not mention consignment, trade-ins or shipping, so ask directly if you need any of those.

Because many of these cars have been through the company's own shop, it is reasonable to ask what work was done in house, request photos or records from the restoration, and still arrange an independent inspection. Our checklist of what to check before you buy is a good place to start.

Reputation

Triple F Automotive has been BBB accredited since November 2017 and holds an A+ rating, with no complaints closed in the past three years. On Birdeye, which gathers Google and Facebook reviews, it shows 4.5 stars from 94 reviews, and its Facebook page, with about 2,600 followers, shows 100% recommend from 26 reviews. As with any dealer, the specific car and its records matter more than the overall score.
