Description
1969 Dodge Charger R/T Special Edition (SE) – Numbers-Matching 440 Magnum Up for sale is a highly desirable, incredibly rare piece of American muscle history: a 1969 Dodge Charger R/T-SE. Backed by its original build sheet and fender tag, this vehicle combines numbers-matching classic power with extensive mechanical and cosmetic updates. Powertrain & Performance Engine: Numbers-matching 440 Magnum V8, completely rebuilt with less than 500 miles on it.
Features a 4-barrel carburetor and an Edelbrock intake manifold. Transmission: Robust 727 Automatic. Exhaust: Brand-new dual exhaust system that gives it that signature deep Mopar growl. Handling: Complete front-end rebuild with brand-new shocks, riding on fresh tires and stunning aftermarket rims.
Power steering makes handling a breeze. Exterior & Body Aesthetics: Currently wears a sleek, modern Matte Grey wrap. For the purists, the original body is protected underneath—the factory build sheet specifies a green-on-green configuration (green body, green vinyl top).
Details: Brand-new chrome bumpers and fresh weather stripping installed. Smooth-operating electric hideaway headlights. All glass is in great shape. Structure: Rock-solid floorboards and inner skirts behind the rear wheels. (Note: The center section of the trunk floor is solid but heavily pitted; it is structurally sound but ideally should be replaced down the road).
Interior & Comfort Condition: Entirely brand-new, converted from the original green to a pristine, timeless black. Fresh Components: New seats, headliner, carpet, door panels, and trim throughout. Brakes: Factory power drum brakes.
Documentation & Mileage Includes the original factory build sheet and fender tag to verify its R/T-SE heritage. Odometer reads 79,489 (rolled over). Clean title in hand.

Dodge Charger Buyer's Guide
Mike Sullivan here, and the Dodge Charger needs no introduction. When people picture American muscle, they picture a Charger. The fastback roofline, the hidden headlights, the long hood, it's a design that photographers have been chasing since the day it rolled out of the Hamtramck assembly plant. Add a 440 or a 426 HEMI and you have a car that still makes professional racers nervous at stoplights.
The Charger's story runs from 1966 through 1978, but the definitive generation is the B-body era of 1968–1970. These are the cars that Bullitt and The Dukes of Hazzard made iconic, and they remain among the most sought-after, and most carefully scrutinized, classic cars in the market.
