Description
Price: US $24,790 (CAD $34,990 at the dealer).
1965 Ford Mustang Coupe. 289 with lots of performance goodies including a high-rise intake, 4-bbl carb, headers, aluminum rad, Moroso valve covers and MSD ignition. Paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission. No power steering and no power brakes on this one, but there are front disc brakes.
Runs very well and it’s clear that the powertrain has been gone through and sorted out. More than a decade ago, the car was professionally repainted at a local body shop and a very handsome emerald green metallic was chosen and paired with white painted on side and top stripes. The paint is top notch, glossy, smooth and the colors suit the car well! Chrome and stainless on the car all very nice.
American racing wheels complete the look along with a horizontal bar grille and optional chromed areo-mirrors on both doors. The interior is black through and through. Overall, in nice condition with some minor cracking on the driver’s seat back.
The rest of the upholstery is in nice shape. An aftermarket stereo has been added with kick panel speakers. Gauges are all nice and a wood rimmed steering wheel has been added. The car shows 11,000 miles, but with restoration work and a 5-digit odometer, true milage is unknown.
A center armrest/console with cupholders has been added for convenience and comfort. The trunk is nicely done too with a new carpet set. Nice, simple and easy going. If you’re looking for an easy going handsome little pony, this one should be on your list!

Classic Ford Mustang Buyer's Guide
The Ford Mustang launched on April 17, 1964 and sold a million units faster than any car in American history. Sixty years later, the first-generation Mustang (1964½-1973) remains the cornerstone of the classic car hobby, the gateway car for new collectors, the trophy car for veteran enthusiasts, and the most cloned, faked, and re-stamped muscle car on the market. Whether you're hunting a base inline-six coupe or a documented Boss 429, knowing what separates the real cars from the tribute builds is the difference between an investment and a money pit.
