Description
1977 Corvette. Automatic transmission The good: Paint is near perfect (show car worthy) 2023 New interior 2023 Sound proofing/thermal barrier installed 2023 Engine rebuilt (355CI 350HP) 2022 New shocks 2024 New brakes 2022 Tires with 80%+ tread life Aluminum radiator installed 2022 MSD spark unit 2023 LED bulbs installed everywhere except headlights and tech/speedometer(haven’t taken apart the dash to replace those yet) The bad: AC compressor and condenser removed at one point in time and never reinstalled. Was a factory AC car originally.
All the other factory AC equipment is still installed. Not a frame off restoration. Undercarriage is in good shape, but the car is of driver quality not show room quality. I will try to get some pictures of it.
Cruise control doesn’t work (never looked into it) Horn doesn’t work on steering wheel (a separate horn button installed by previous owner to make the car legal. I’ve never looked into fixing the steering wheel horn yet) Speakers in dash sound blown. They could probably be replaced (I have a soundbar installed in the back) I made this the C3 corvette I’ve always dreamed of (minus putting an LS motor in it), but I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to get it the rest of the way there, or if I’ll drive it enough to enjoy it in the coming years. 20K invested in the car in the last 3 years (not including the price I paid for the car).
Baby is on the way and priorities have shifted. I also have an “FI tech fuel injection system” that goes with the car. I received the system from a friend but I haven’t installed it yet. Car currently has a Holley 600CFM carb which works great.

Classic Chevrolet Corvette Buyer's Guide
The Chevrolet Corvette has been America's sports car for over seventy years, but the classic Corvette market splits into three distinct generations, each with its own buyer profile and its own pitfalls. The C1 (1953-1962), C2 mid-year (1963-1967), and C3 shark (1968-1982) cover three decades of evolution from solid-axle straight-six convertibles to small-block legends to LT-1-powered chrome-bumper cars. Knowing which Corvette is yours — and what it actually is versus what the seller claims — is the difference between a sound investment and an expensive lesson.
