Circle H Auto Sales

Circle H Auto Sales is a family owned classic car and hot rod dealership in Coahoma, Texas, a small town just east of Big Spring in West Texas. Its website carries the tagline "House of Hotrods," and the business says it specializes in classic, refurbished, unique and hot rod vehicles. The owner is Gene Hector, who the company says spent more than 30 years self employed in the oilfield business before turning to cars.

A converted bank building

According to the dealership's own description, Hector bought an old vacant bank building in the middle of Coahoma and turned it into a showroom for car lovers. The company says customers will often find him working on cars or out on the showroom floor talking with visitors. We could not find a founding year for the business, so we are not stating when it opened. Circle H Auto Sales should also not be confused with Circle H Autos in Mount Pleasant, Texas, which is a separate, unrelated used car dealer.

What Circle H sells

The dealer's inventory page showed about 17 vehicles at the time of our review, with asking prices running from roughly $25,500 to $60,000. The mix leans toward Chevrolet and GM. Examples listed included a 1955 Ford Thunderbird, a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air wagon, a 1966 El Camino, a 1969 Camaro and a 1969 Chevelle, along with 1970s Chevrolet C10 and Ford F100 pickups. Trucks are a recurring theme, and the lot also lists late 1980s and early 1990s GM trucks, as well as a 1999 Camaro Z28, so it is not limited to cars from the 1950s and 1960s. Inventory changes, so use this as a sample and check the current listings.

Hot rod upgrades and parts

Beyond selling vehicles, Circle H promotes hot rod upgrades and tuning, naming chassis, suspension and fuel injection as areas where it works. The services page also lists the company as a dealer for Vintage Air, TMI and Wilwood Brake and Suspension, which are well known suppliers of climate control, interiors and brakes for older vehicles. For owners of a street rod or a restomod, a shop that sells and installs those brands can be a convenient single stop. We could not confirm what labor rates, turnaround times or warranty terms apply to the work, so ask for a written estimate.

Buying from Circle H

Circle H sells vehicles from its own stock. We found no information about consignment, so owners hoping to place a car should not assume that is offered. The dealer's site has a financing section in its menu, but we could not see terms, so ask directly about financing, deposits, shipping and any trade-in policy. For general advice on the process, see our guide to buying a classic car from a dealer. Because many hot rods and trucks have been modified, ask what has been replaced or changed, request receipts for major work, and consider an independent inspection, especially if the car must be shipped out of state.

Reputation

We were not able to view star ratings or review counts for Circle H Auto Sales on any major review platform, so we are not citing any. The business maintains public accounts on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, which can show recent cars and customer interactions. Before you buy, it is reasonable to look at those pages, ask the dealer for references, and speak with the owner about the specific vehicle.
