About Coast Corvette

Coast Corvette is a Corvette specialist at 828 W. Vermont Ave in Anaheim, California, across the freeway from Disneyland. The business says it has served Corvette and classic car enthusiasts since 1978, and describes itself as one of the largest full-service Corvette facilities in the country. It combines a parts department, a service and restoration shop and a showroom that buys and sells classic Corvettes and other American cars. It should not be confused with West Coast Corvette, a separate company in nearby Orange, California.

History

Coast Corvette says it started as a small family-owned Corvette shop in the 1970s. In a 2015 shop tour published by LSX Magazine, sales manager Greg Williams said the founders were Chuck and Sherry Cantz. He said Chuck had worked in Ford Motor Company's design studio and ran a side body shop working on Can-Am race cars, and that Sherry suggested he build and sell fiberglass parts. According to that interview the business began in Fullerton, moved to Garden Grove and then settled in Anaheim, which he placed at about 1985. We could not confirm who owns the business today.

How the business works

Coast Corvette is a dealer that holds its own stock, and it does not advertise consignment. In the same interview Williams described the work as selling parts, buying and selling classic cars, servicing cars and doing some restoration projects, with some customers elsewhere in the United States and overseas. The company says it prefers older cars, mostly the C1, C2 and C3 generations, over late-model Corvettes. That interview is several years old, so confirm current services by phone.

What it sells

The inventory on its website in early October 2026 was led by classic Corvettes: a 1954 model, a 1958 with the 283 cubic inch engine, a body-off restored 1963 split-window coupe, two 1965 coupes, a custom 1961 with an LS1 engine, and 1978 and 1979 models, including a low-mileage 1978 Silver Anniversary L82. The lot also held a few cars outside the classic Corvette niche, such as a 1957 Chevrolet 210 hardtop, a 1957 BMW Isetta, a 2007 Corvette convertible, a 2002 Ford Thunderbird and newer luxury vehicles. Prices on ClassicCars.com ranged from under $20,000 for a 1979 model to nearly $120,000 for a 1965 model. You can browse more classic Corvettes for sale from other sellers on Classic Cars Arena.

Parts, service and restoration

Beyond sales, the shop is its core business. The company says it has a large parts and accessories department, and Williams described work including fiberglass repair, paint and body, brakes, suspension and accident repair. He said the shop often takes over projects that stalled at other shops, and that it is better suited to mechanical work on older cars than to electronics-heavy late models. Ask the shop directly about current service availability, lead times and whether it takes work on cars it did not sell.

Buying from Coast Corvette

The company says vehicle sales are by appointment. Because Corvettes of this age vary widely in originality and restoration quality, ask for the VIN, title status, documentation for any restoration and extra photos, and read what to check before you buy. Matching-number claims and body-off restoration claims should be verified in person or by an independent inspector who knows Corvettes. We did not find published information on financing, shipping or deposit terms, so ask about those before committing. The company's site FAQ says it accepts trade-ins, but that text looks like general website template wording, so confirm it.

Reputation

We found no Better Business Bureau profile for Coast Corvette. Review aggregator Birdeye showed a 4.6 star average from 58 reviews at the time of our research, nearly all of them from Google. The 2015 article describes the business as having been at the same Anaheim address for close to 40 years. Check current reviews on the platform you trust most, and remember that a high average does not replace inspecting a specific car.
