About Naples Luxury Classics

Naples Luxury Classics is a Naples, Florida business run by founder Damon Balch that buys, consigns and resells low-mileage, low-ownership collector and enthusiast vehicles. It does not work like a conventional classic car dealer with a sales lot. Its own cars and the cars it takes on consignment are sold as online auctions on Bring a Trailer, where its seller account, NaplesLuxuryCars, has been active since May 2021. The Balch family also runs a separate, conventional dealership in Naples, Autohaus of Naples, which keeps its own inventory.

Who is behind it

The company's site tells the story through its founder. Balch says he bought his first car, a Datsun 510, at 15 and has been trading cars and trucks ever since, and that at 18 he was buying specialty cars, trucks and boats at government seized-vehicle auctions. He then spent 19 years in the radio and TV industry before, in his words, his family bought a boutique car dealership in Naples specializing in low-mile, low-owner cars and trucks. A 2021 WGCU news report identified Balch as the owner of Autohaus in Naples. He says the contacts from that dealership led him to build an online auction business around the Bring a Trailer format.

The company does not publish a founding year. Its Bring a Trailer account dates from May 2021, and its current website has been archived since September 2024. The site says the business buys and sells four to eight vehicles a month.

How the Bring a Trailer model works

Naples Luxury Classics describes its specialty as "special cars": low miles, few owners, actual-mileage titles. It says most come from private garages and collections in Southwest Florida, dealership trade-ins and individual sellers. On its locations page the company says it owns most of its cars and also runs a consignment program.

Either way, the sale happens on Bring a Trailer. The site's current inventory page lists cars waiting with the note "Bring-A-Trailer listing coming soon," and its sold page links to dozens of completed BaT auctions. On BaT the account is registered as a dealer, and as of October 2026 its seller page shows 119 listings and more than 2,000 comments posted by the account in BaT's public auction threads. Cars from the separate Autohaus inventory are the exception: the company says those can be bought in person or online through that dealership.

What it sells

The mix runs from prewar and postwar classics to modern enthusiast cars, trucks and the occasional motorcycle. Links on the sold page include a 1931 Ford Model A, a 1938 Ford pickup, a 1962 Porsche 356B, a 1972 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40, a 1970 Plymouth Cuda and air-cooled Porsche 911s. Results the company lists on its own site include a 1969 Mercedes-Benz 280SL at $118,000, a 1957 Ford Thunderbird at $22,500, a 1990 Porsche 944 Cabriolet at $27,500 and a 2002 Porsche 911 Turbo at $74,000. On Bring a Trailer, a 1971 Mercedes-Benz 280SE 3.5 Cabriolet from the account sold for $320,000 in August 2026, and a 1971 Porsche 911T Targa sold for $101,000 in September.

Not every auction ends in a sale: a 2019 Ferrari 488 Spider listed in September 2026 was bid to $406,000 without selling. Many of its listings run at no reserve.

Buying a car from Naples Luxury Classics

Buyers deal with the company through Bring a Trailer. You register and bid on the BaT site; if you win, BaT charges its buyer service fee to your card and you pay the selling dealer directly for the car. On the 1969 280SL auction the listing stated no additional charges from the dealer, but check that line on each listing, since it is where any documentation fees would appear. Read the full description and the comment thread, ask questions there before bidding, and arrange an independent inspection in Naples before the auction closes.

Selling or consigning a car

Owners have two options, according to the site: consign the car for a Bring a Trailer auction, or sell it to the company outright, which Balch says can happen the same day, paid by check or cash. A "We Pay More" page claims the company will pay at least $500 more than any other dealer; that is the company's own claim.

For consignments, the company says it takes more than 300 professional photos including the underside, records cold-start and test-drive videos, arranges any repairs, detailing or polishing through its vendors, submits the car to BaT, answers bidder questions while the auction runs, and handles paperwork and delivery once the car sells. It does not publish its consignment fee, so get the terms in writing. Our guide on how classic car consignment works covers the questions to ask.

Track record and other services

The most useful public record for this business is its Bring a Trailer history: every past auction, its final bid and its comment thread remain visible on the seller page. We did not find a Better Business Bureau profile for Naples Luxury Classics, and we did not see a review rating we could verify. The company also runs a side service rebuilding headlights for Lamborghini, Porsche, Ferrari and Jaguar models, and says it has rebuilt more than 22 sets.

Locations and contact

Naples Luxury Classics does not publish a street address. The company says its cars are kept in two indoor, climate-controlled buildings outside flood zones, one in Naples and one in Bonita Springs, and its BaT listings give the car's location as Naples, Florida 34110. Autohaus of Naples, the family's dealership with its separate inventory, is at 493 Airport-Pulling Rd N in Naples. Balch takes calls and texts at (239) 610-2277, and the site has a contact form for buying, selling and BaT listing inquiries. No business hours are published, so arrange any visit ahead of time.
