Past & Present Motor Cars is a classic car dealer in Ocoee, Florida, on the west side of the Orlando area. It was founded in 2018 and is best known for Chevrolet muscle cars, above all the 1970 Chevelle SS, though its inventory runs from prewar roadsters to recent performance cars. The company sells cars from its own stock and on consignment, offers financing and shipping through partners and its own transport arm, and has a service department. It should not be confused with a business of the same name in Vermont; this profile covers only the Florida company.

From two warehouses to a larger operation

According to the company, Past & Present Motor Cars was founded in June 2018 by Jack and Jeff, whom its Better Business Bureau file names as Jack Lazinsk and Jeff Losapio. The BBB records the business as starting on April 11, 2018. The founders began in two small warehouses in Ocala and Winter Garden. A 2020 profile by FLA Car Shows, which the company reproduces on its website, explains the split: Jeff built cars and Jack sold them. The company says it moved its main location in Winter Garden to a larger building in March 2020, just as Covid arrived, and that about two and a half years later it bought four buildings and leased a fifth. It now describes an operation with more than 150 classic cars and a service department. Jack is listed as president and Jeff as vice president, alongside an office manager and a team of sales associates.

What Past & Present sells

When we read the dealer's inventory feed in early October 2026 it held 127 vehicles. About half were Chevrolets, including 16 Chevelles from 1966 to 1970, ten of them 1970 models. Most of the stock comes from the 1960s and 1970s, with Corvettes, Camaros, Impalas, El Caminos and Pontiacs well represented. The rest ranges widely:

• prewar cars such as a 1927 Chevrolet roadster and 1930s Ford coupes and roadsters;
• 1950s cars and pickups, including a 1955 Chevrolet Cameo and a 1951 Studebaker truck;
• Chevrolet C10 and K10 pickups, Volkswagen buses and two Land Rover Defenders;
• newer cars such as a Dodge Challenger Hellcat, a 2023 BMW M3 and a Ford Bronco, which fits the "present" half of the name.

Prices ran from just under $9,000 to $379,970 for a frame-off restored 1970 Chevelle LS6 convertible, with the middle of the list near $50,000.

Buying from Past & Present

The website links to several collector car lenders, including Woodside Credit, J.J. Best Banc, Collector Car Leaders and LightStream, and has an online credit application. Shipping is handled through the company's own Past & Present Shipping, which quotes domestic and international moves by phone; the site says standard shipping is on open transport, with enclosed transport available for an extra charge. The company also says buyers can pay with cryptocurrency, and it offers a $1,000 discount to active-duty military and veterans with proof of service. Testimonials on its site describe out-of-state buyers purchasing cars sight unseen, and the dealer posts video walk-arounds of its cars. Selling or consigning a car

Consignment is a large part of the business. In the 2020 FLA Car Shows article, Jack said that in some months half of the company's sales were consignments. That article described a "sell your car for free" model in which the dealer picked up the car, detailed and photographed it, advertised it widely and kept whatever it earned above the owner's agreed price, with the owner keeping the title until payment. The current consignment page says the program has since changed, that a vehicle inspection is now required, that free shipping depends on location and condition, and that terms are subject to change. Reputation

The company's BBB file shows an A+ rating with four complaints closed in the past three years; the business is not BBB accredited. A Birdeye page that collects reviews showed a 4.6-star average from 264 reviews, nearly all of them from Google. The dealer's own website carries more than 200 customer testimonials posted since 2018, which are the company's own selection. Past & Present also hosts an annual Chevelle and Classic Car Show at its Ocoee site; the fourth edition, held in October 2025, raised money for the American Cancer Society.
