R&H Motor Car Group

R&H Motor Car Group, which also trades as RH MotorCars, is a classic, muscle, custom and exotic car dealer and restoration shop in Solon, Ohio, southeast of Cleveland. The company says it turns out show winning exotic, custom, muscle and vintage cars to customer specifications, and it combines a sales floor with a mechanical and fabrication shop. It also takes cars on consignment. The company's own site gives two different street addresses, which is covered below.

What the company does

R&H describes itself as more than a dealership. Its capabilities page lists Porsche service, muscle car service, restorations, custom plumbing, dry ice cleaning, detailing, fabrication, race car prep, car building and performance upgrades. The company says its technicians hold ASE and I-CAR certifications and that it employs a nationally known Porsche technician. Its About page says the mechanical staff has decades of experience with vehicles from the 1920s to the present, and that its cars are kept in a secured, climate-controlled facility of 42,000 square feet. No founding year is published on the site, so the length of time the business has operated is not confirmed here.

What it sells

The stock is broad. A recent look at the company's inventory site showed roughly four dozen vehicles, from 1930s Fords and 1950s Chevrolet Bel Airs and Nomads to muscle cars such as a 1971 Dodge Charger R/T and a 1969 Plymouth GTX. Corvettes are a visible strength, with several model years on offer, and the lineup also includes Porsche 911s, a Ferrari 328 GTS, a McLaren 675LT and Bentleys. Buying from R&H

The company says it offers both leasing and purchase options, works with lenders on financing and accepts trades in similar condition. Its site invites buyers to browse the inventory online, request details and arrange a test drive. The site does not describe shipping for buyers, deposits or pre-purchase inspection terms, so ask about each before committing, particularly on a long-distance purchase. Because many cars are specialty or high-value vehicles, an independent inspection is a sensible step.

Consigning a car

R&H runs a consignment program for owners who would rather not handle showings and calls themselves. The company says it brings the car into its facility, checks it over mechanically, details it, takes dozens of photographs, writes a description of more than 700 words and lists the car on more than 10 websites and publications. It adds that it handles showings, the deal, transportation and trade-ins, and that the owner ends up with a check. No commission, fee or markup is published, so get those terms in writing. The Better Business Bureau lists R&H Motor Car Group as not accredited, with a B- rating and one complaint closed within the past three years. The BBB page carried no customer reviews. We did not see star ratings on other platforms, so there is little public review data to lean on, and buyers should rely on the specific car, its documentation and an independent inspection.

Address and visiting

Sources disagree on the street address. The BBB listing, Yelp, the dealer's own inventory site and the location data on its main site give 6441 Davis Industrial Parkway, Solon, Ohio 44139, while the contact and About pages of the main site still print 32300 Aurora Road in Solon. The Aurora Road address is a multi-tenant commercial building, which suggests it may be an older or secondary location. The business appears to be operating, with a live website and current inventory. Confirm the address before driving out. The phone number is 440-914-0000, and the site lists hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
