Original color was Newport White (you can see it in the trunk) - Was painted red by previous owner. Body, engine, transmission in original awesome condition Body and Frame are EXTREMELY Solid and in Great Condition.
Original rust-free Floorboards, undercarriage and frame--ALL super clean and rust free. Virtually NO rust! This has been a Southern car, raised in Arizona and lived the rest of its life in Texas below the salt line...thus the impeccable 50+ year old body. Great AS IS or for the Pony lover who wants to Resto-Mod with a 289, it has an outstanding body and frame/core.
The straight 6-200 was standard equipment in 1965. It is a very punchy engine--really quick and fast. Understand...the body has virtually NO rust. There are a few tiny surface spots that were painted over on the bottom of one quarter panel and one door. (shown in pics)- otherwise, NO RUST!! I'm the 3rd owner and I know the history of the car.
It has been stored in the garage for the past 8 years except for the occasional Sunday afternoon drive.
