1979 Oldsmobile Cutlass Calais Hurst Edition W-30 For Sale
For your consideration is a super rare and iconic appreciating collector car 1979 Oldsmobile Cutlass Calais Hurst W30 Sport Coupe. Equipped with its 350 V8 engine and 350 Turbo automatic transmission, and appears to have 76K miles. The Hurst Gold and White Paint is quite nice and shines at any angle with much depth and gloss.
I would call this a high end driver quality vehicle. Undercarriage is extremely clean, straight, and solid with a shiny black finish. Appears to have the factory floors in place. Not cobbled or patched up.
Frame and body mounts are solid. All of the chrome, stainless, emblems, bumpers, Trim, and Grill and show great. She rides, drives, and handles exceptionally well, better than you would expect; straight down the road with no surprises.
Very tight and easy to drive for any size or aged driver. This car is ready to drive or show!
The Tan Interior shows really well. Seats are firm and in very nice shape. Headliner, carpet, and dash are in great condition.
A total of 2,499 1979 Hurst/Olds W30 models were produced, all based on the Cutlass Calais coupe. The production was split between two color schemes: 1,165 were produced in White with Gold accents, and 1,334 were produced in Black with Gold accents. These cars featured a 350 cubic-inch V8 and the iconic Dual-Gate shifter.
Production was limited to 2,499 units to avoid GM's 2,500-unit threshold that would have required costly EPA re-certification for the 350 engine. Below is a detailed breakdown of this beautiful machine:

Classic Oldsmobile Cutlass Buyer's Guide
The Oldsmobile Cutlass launched for 1961 as the F-85 compact, became the foundation of the legendary 442 muscle-car program in 1964, and eventually grew into Oldsmobile's highest-volume nameplate by the late 1970s. Across twenty-eight years of classic-era production (1961-1988), the Cutlass spawned multiple legendary muscle-car variants: the original 442 (1964-1971), the Hurst/Olds limited editions (1968-1984), and the W-30 W-31 high-performance packages. The 1968-1972 A-body Cutlass 442 cars represent the high-water mark of Oldsmobile factory performance. The 1973-1977 Colonnade-body cars and the 1978-1988 G-body cars represent the bargain entry into Cutlass ownership today. This guide covers what every buyer should verify before paying premium money for any 442 or Hurst/Olds variant.
